ICEECIT 2024, the 2nd International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Technology, will be held in Jember, Indonesia on November 24, 2024. Jember, Indonesia, is the regency of the Indonesian province of East Java. Jember has interesting tourist attractions, one of which is Papuma.

Jember Regency is a regency of East Java province, Indonesia. The land area is 3,306.69 km2, and the population was 2,332,726 at the 2010 census and 2,536,729 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 2,584,233 (comprising 1,290,488 males and 1,293,745 females). Its administrative capital is the urban area of Jember, which with 360,568 inhabitants in mid 2022 is the third largest urban area in East Java province (after Surabaya and Malang) but does not have municipality or city status as it is split between three separate administrative districts (kecamatan). Jember is famous for its tobacco farms and traditional food called tape which is made of fermented cassava. It shares its borders with the regencies of Lumajang (to the west), ProbolinggoBondowoso and Situbondo (to the north), and Banyuwangi (to the east). All sessions of ICEECIT 2024 will be held in hybrid in Jember, East Java, Indonesia. It is easily accessible by public transport from everywhere in the city.

Visa Information

The visa we are about to describe is the Visit Visa, issued by the Indonesian Embassy. This type of visa is issued for one-time travel and is intended for purposes such as participating in seminars. There are two types of Visit Visa that can be used:

Visit Visa on Arrival: This visa can be applied for if the nationality of the applicant(s) is included on the Visa on Arrival countries list.

Visit Visa: This visa can be applied for by the applicant(s) in the Indonesian Embassy or Consulates or by the guarantor(s) of the applicant(s) to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta.


Visa Requirements

1. Visit Visa on Arrival
a. A valid passport that is still valid for at least 6 (SIX) months from the date of request
b. Valid return tickets to and from the country

2. Visit Visa
All of the above, plus:
a. Letters of application and guarantee from the applicant(s) and guarantor(s)
b. A copy of valid bank accounts, living costs, and spending plans while in Indonesia
c. ID photo in full color, dimensions of 4x6cm

3. Visit Visa; applicants are stateless or have no nationality
All of the above, plus:
a. Valid reentry permit, either as a letter of request from the Government or a letter of approval from an official


Visa Procedure

This procedure applies to those applying for a standard Visit Visa.

  1. The applicant(s) submits their visa application to the local Indonesian Embassy/Consulates and pays the required amount (telex fee payment).
  2. Embassy/Consulates check applications for approval/forwards application to the Directorate General of Immigration for approval (for stateless/non-nationality persons).
  3. If the requirements are satisfied and payments have been made, the visa should be issued within 3 business days.
  4. Applicants proceed to Indonesia. Entry stamps will be obtained at the border or upon arrival.
